Be a part of the history of the Italian Navy’s Decima Flottiglia MAS who pioneered Naval Special Warfare during World War Two. The 45mm Marina Militare Dive watch pays homage to the Italian Naval Commandos.  The crown protector was an innovation after the Panerai released reference 6154. The Marina Militare Special Warfare teams required a way for crowns to stay locked and prevent water from entering the case while performing missions.

The Fifty Five Fathoms recreation of the Italian Navy Diver faithfully reproduces this timepiece in a 45mm (316L) case size.  Powering the watch is a manual wind ST3600 movement with 3-Days of power reserve similar to the original. The dial has a painted Marina Militare marking signifying use with the Italian Navy.  The hands are gold per the original luminor watches of the time.  As our watches are build to order, you will also be able to select matte black hands (please send us a note when purchasing). We have made some improvements such as using a scratch resistant sapphire crystal for better protection.  The watch is pressure tested to 300 meters to ensure performance in and out of the water.
